My Roadmap of Experiences
I have kept myself busy over the years, and while my timeline of roles are extensive and varied, each and every one of these opportunities have proven instrumental in shaping my wide-angled knowledge and growing capabilities.

Professional Experience
Throughout my time as an SEO professional thus far, I have garnered a substantial and diverse toolbox of skills, from working in an agency setting managing the SEO tasks for a wide variety of clients within the trades and home services industries (advocating for the underdogs holds a special place in my heart), to taking ownership of day-to-day SEO efforts for a large in-house O&O website within the fitness/nutrition/wellness/technology spaces. I have developed a wide range of skills through my experiences and the collaboration and guidance of my teammates, including (but not limited to) spearheading ongoing quarterly keyword research based on industry trends and audience search intent, orchestrating the implementation of new pages and categories to yield accelerated organic traffic and improved rankings on SERPs, and carrying out comprehensive technical audits, effective link-building strategies, and creative data-driven SEO testing ideas. As the world of SEO and marketing continues to evolve at a rapid pace, I welcome the challenge to continue growing and expanding my skills, while recognizing that there is always more to learn.

After three years of working within SEO landscapes to drive traffic, rankings and conversions in both an agency and in-house setting, I am excited to venture into a new avenue of my professional development where I can leverage both my recent experiences and long-time passions. Prior to my time working within the technical and analytical corners of communications and marketing as an SEO specialist, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in both strategic communications and communication design (graphic design) with a minor in creative writing. I possess a wide range of experiences and interest in many corners of communications, including analytics, editorial, branding, graphic design, marketing, public relations, research, UX, and UI. With prior design experience working within Figma and the Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier Pro, I have a working foundation of design tools and a love for UX/UI design that I am excited to return to and grow my skills in.

College Accomplishments

In May 2022, I graduated as a first generation college student from Elon University, ranked #1 for excellence in undergraduate teaching and #6 for Most Innovative National Universities in the annual U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 “Best Colleges” guide. I was also one of only 30 members in my graduating class inducted as a Communications Fellow, a recipient of the annually renewable Elon Engagement Scholarship, and an inducted member of my university’s chapters of Lambda Pi Eta | National Communication Association, and Sigma Tau Delta | International English Honor Society. Throughout my college career, I maintained a consistently high academic performance and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Latin honors and a 3.72 GPA. During my time at Elon, I actively developed essential skills in creativity and storytelling through my double major in strategic communications and communication design, accompanied by a minor in creative writing.

College Experiences

My growing industry experience in pursuit of these skills has included many positions both on and off of my university’s campus. To kickstart my professional experience, during the summer of 2020 I served as an editorial intern for three local magazines in my hometown, Lake Norman CURRENTS magazine, LIMITLESS magazine and Lake Norman Woman magazine. In the fall semester of 2020, I worked as a virtual public relations intern for Jennifer Bett Communications, a PR agency based out of New York City and Los Angeles.

The following summer, while studying abroad for five weeks in Bath, England, I honed in on my creative writing knowledge through the lenses of infamous British authors — studying the nonfiction writings of Virginia Woolf and taking a deep dive into Jane Austen’s time living in Bath as she conceptualized some of the most well-known pieces of fictional literature throughout history. Taking it a step further, I also accepted a position working alongside the program coordinators as a marketing assistant, facilitating the creation of social media content and endorsing the program’s offerings to prospective students through promotional materials.

In the spring of 2022, during my final semester I worked closely with a few local businesses serving the surrounding communities outside of Elon. As a marketing Intern for Burlington Animal Services, I not only contributed to designing and strengthening their branding materials, but spent two days each week volunteering within the shelter in order to better understand and develop a closer connection with the organization and its adoptable animals. During this time I also obtained a position working as a marketing coordinator for a local boxing gym, BX5 Fitness, where I guided community outreach efforts, as well as creative and strategic marketing strategies.
